Meet The Team
Leah J. Gillan
Co-Executive Director
Leah is from Oshkosh, WI where she trained in dance and baton twirling for 15 years, competing at the national and world level. With her dance background, she was able to perform as a Miss Wisconsin dancer for 5 years, later becoming the choreographer and producer for the state pageant. She also has been a candidate, mentor, judge, and volunteer for the Miss America Organization for over 20 years. She is also an advocate for The Crohn’s and Colitis foundation and The American Heart Association as a Crohn’s Warrior and heart attack survivor herself.
Leah is employed with SkyWest Airlines as a Flight Attendant, traveling up to 300,000 miles per year. She resides in the Avondale neighborhood with her husband, Eddie and together they love to travel, enjoy all that the Windy City has to offer and spend quality time with their families. She loves musicals and concerts, she’s a Swifty for life! Her guilty pleasure is all things reality tv and true crime documentaries and podcasts.
Leah is coming into her 3rd year as Co-Executive Director and is so excited to be working in partnership with Trevor to continue building upon the amazing legacy of the Miss Chicago Organization coming into its 102nd year.

Trevor J. Walker
Co-Executive Director
Trevor currently resides in Chicago, IL. A native of Danville, Il, he is a 2005 graduate of Danville High School, where he was a varsity cheerleader, and was a member of the award winning show choir, “Danville Delegation”. While in Danville, he was involved with Red Mask Players and Danville Light Opera.
One of Trevor’s passions is Makeup Artistry. He has been a Professional Makeup Artist for 15 + years, and has worked for Lancome, Laura Mercier, and MAC Cosmetics as a regional makeup artist.
Trevor is currently a Fraud Analyst for JP Morgan Chase, in addition to owning his own makeup artistry business, "TJ Walker Artistry". He also holds a degree in communication sciences from Danville Area Community College, and is presently working on a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Southern New Hampshire University.
In his spare time he enjoys reading, baking, and volunteering with various charities. He also enjoys spending time with his loved ones, and checking out new restaurants and taking a random road trip. Trevor is extremely excited to join the team as Co-Executive Director for Miss Chicago. He looks forward to helping to continue it's historic legacy with his Co-Director, Leah, and looks forward to helping young women achieve their scholastic goals and dreams within the Miss America Opportunity!
